If you are looking for a country to travel from India and if you want to make it pretty easy, your perfect destination would be Thailand ! It is one of the country which offer Visa on arrival for Indians.
I have added Phi Phi Island and Ayutthaya in my travel bucket list after loads and loads of research. I never been to Island before. So I have decided to visit an Island this time and chose Phi Phi in the Krabi Province.
Once you have decided to travel to Thailand, you will be looking into the places of interest in Thailand you will get to know Bangkok,Pattaya,Ayutthaya,Phuket,Krabi and so on.Obviously many indians will opt for Bangkok and pattaya as they were not aware of the other hidden gems inThailand.
First thing I have decided on this trip is not to visit Bangkok and Pattaya City as like the others.
Phi Phi Island has been Thailand's tourism magnet for quite some time. This comes as no surprise because Phi Phi is blessed with beautiful white sand beaches, stunning emerald waters and massive limestone karst formations.

How to Reach Phi Phi Pier from Krabi Airport.
You can reach phi phi Island either from Phuket or from krabi via ferry.. I booked Cochin to Krabi through Air asia with a connecting flight in Bangkok and that cost 4299 per person.
From Krabi Airport you have to reach
klong jirad pier from where the Ferry Departs to Phi Phi Island. The Pier is around 17 km from Krabi Airport.
Once your flight arrives at Krabi Airport, proceed through customs and purchase s shuttle bus ticket to Krabi Pier (Klong Jirald Pier) at the counter located on the ground floor and it costs 90 THB per person. The shuttle cab will start once seats are full ,so you have wait it out there.. Tell the ticket distributor that you want to go to Phi Phi

Place where you can get tickets for taxi and shuttle bus to the pier. |
It depends upon you whether to go for shuttle bus or a private taxi. Taxi will cost 350 THB person and shuttle bus will cost 90 THB. I opted for the shuttle Bus.

Shuttle Bus to Krabi Town. |
The shuttle bus will not take you to the pier directly instead they will drop you in a private ferry booking Travel agency and you won't be informed about the same while you purchase the ticket. Here tourists heading to Phi Phi will be asked to get off the shuttle and people heading to Krabi town or Ao Nang will remain on the bus.

Here you have to buy the Ferry tickets to the Island which costs 400 THB per person.

Bought tickets for two which costs 400 THB per person |
After getting the tickets you have to wait until the other cab comes to pick you up to the Pier where you will board the ferry to Phi Phi Island. So we waited there for 30 minutes.
Finally we got into the van that goes directly to the Klong Jirald pier in order to board the ferry en route to Koh Phi Phi.

Finally we reached the Pier by this van |

After reaching the Pier, you will be forced to buy a return ticket from the Island to Krabi. I opted for it as it was an open ticket where you can use it on any day you wish yo return.
