The Unseen Beauty of Upper Bhavani (Nilgiris)

This time myself and my friend Pandi decided to visit our friend sunil's home in Coonoor. The first thing I have decided is that we are not gonna visit the same old place(ooty lake, botonical garden, etc) as like all tourist. We have decided to visit the unseen beauty of the Nilgiris.

We 3 started from chennai on a friday night and reached metupalayam by Nilgiri Express at 6:15 Am saturday. My long time wish is gonna happen now!!!! yes, I am gonna travel in the ooty TOY TRAIN, recognized as the UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE.

Picturesque location

Myself and Sunil ready to start the journey

Pandi and Sunil Checking the Rack and Pinion in Hillgrove station
If you are travelling to ooty, dont ever miss the journey of the Toy train and chose to travel in the months of october, november and december when the climate will be excellent and more than that you can see less crowd. If you travelling in summer, ahhhhhh crowd crowd crowd everywhere.

Throughout the train journey, we witnessed some excellent locations, beautiful flowers and waterfalls. It started to rain from the hillgrove station and I felt like I am in heaven, wow, the chillness, the locations, its just amazing.

And finally in the afternoon, we reached sunil's home in Coonoor and had a warm welcome by his parents.

With Sunil's Family

After getting refreshed , we went to Sim's park and we are only three people out there. It was a quite  famous park, but the time we went, no crowd at all.We went back home and had a tasty dinner prepared by sunil's mom. Also w already arranged a cab via sunil's dad for the next day trip and i am very much excited.

We decided to visit the below places.

Upper Bhavani,
Avalanche,
Emeralad Lake

You wont get much information regarding the above places in internet.

Next day Morning 7 AM we got the cab and started our journey to upper bhavani. Since we travelled on the month of november, there are lot of water falls on the way. The road coonoor to upper bhavani is less traffic, less crowded and nice road. So no problem at all in travelling.

1st Waterfalls we witnessed on the road

2nd waterfalls on the road side

Surya (Sunil's Friend) also joined with us in the trip. Please take extra care while stepping into falls like this as we were suffered by blood sucking leeches on this falls. Our cab driver helped us in removing those leeches using his match box.

3rd and most beautiful waterfalls on the road side
The place in the above picture was mesmerizing and we enjoyed a lot.

Reached Manjoor and had our break fast
